Socket wrenches are a must-have in your tool kit. A socket wrench consists of a ring-shaped head with a ratcheting mechanism that allows you to completely loosen or tighten a nut or bolt without having to reposition the wrench every time you make a turn. This saves an enormous amount of time, especially on projects with lots of nuts and bolts.

When purchasing, pay close attention to the size of the wrench. Different sizes of nuts and bolts require different sizes of wrenches. That's why purchasing a complete set is a good idea, so you won't be in for an unpleasant surprise.
