Polishing removes the top layer of your project to make scratches less visible. You'll generally work your way from a coarse pad, which removes more material, to a finer pad that smooths the surface and leaves a beautiful shine.

You can polish by hand or with a polishing machine. A machine is much easier, faster, and gives you more control over the amount of pressure you apply. You can also easily find special polishing pads for your machine at Winparts.

We offer a wide range of polishing pads for different finishes, each with its own advantages. Polishing pads are often made of foam, a versatile material that can be made in different hardnesses. The pads have different colours that indicate the hardness and what they are suitable for.

Yellow polishing pads and microfibre pads work well with heavy-duty polishes as a starting point for polishing and to level out deep scratches.

Orange polishing pads and wool polishing pads work well with medium polishes to remove superficial imperfections and dirt.

Clay discs are smooth pads suitable for removing stubborn dirt from your car, such as insects and tar. They are designed to be used with your car shampoo.

White polishing pads are suitable for the finest polishes to make the surface perfectly smooth.

Next, you can use a black or red polishing pad to apply your wax or coating. These pads are quite firm but do not have an abrasive effect, making it easy to apply and buff your wax with the machine. For applying coating by hand, you can also use special applicator pads.

Your car paint is now perfectly smooth and protected against rain, rust and dirt.
