Exhaust assembly paste is a substance that provides a seal between the exhaust parts. Without this seal, gas leaks could occur in the exhaust. The exhaust consists of several parts such as the exhaust pipe pieces, the catalytic converter and exhaust backbox. These parts are connected to each other, which can sometimes cause small holes and cracks. These holes and cracks can then cause a gas leak as the exhaust gases are vented.

Applying exhaust assembly paste is very easy. You can observe the following steps:
1. Remove dirt and rust from parts.
2. Then moisten the part that you are going to grease.
3. Apply the paste to the part using, for example, a brush, a knife or your fingers. Optionally, some moisture can be added to the paste to be able to apply thin layers.
4. When you have treated the parts to be mounted with the exhaust assembly paste, make sure to let the car idle for a few minutes. Allowing the car to idle will allow the exhaust assembly paste to harden and adhere well. The drying time of the exhaust assembly paste is therefore only a few minutes. Once you have completed the process, the exhaust is ready for use!
Remove exhaust assembly paste
Sometimes it will be necessary to remove exhaust assembly paste, for example because you want to replace a part of the exhaust. The paste is easily removed by tapping it gently with a hammer. In the case of pipe connections, you can try to rotate them back and forth. The exhaust assembly paste will crumble and is then easy to remove.
